Fission Volleyball Club is looking for talented and dedicated volleyball coaches in the Valdosta, South GA, & North FL areas. We have openings that allow for diverse levels of coaching experience: we welcome coaches that are beginners, more advanced, and those that have college coaching and/or playing experience. The ideal candidate should have:

A passion for coaching volleyball
The ability to effectively manage players in the age range of 10 to 18
The confidence and capability to lead players and families

The willingness to learn as well as teach
An understanding of our club culture and willingness to add value

JOB DESCRIPTION

Though an enjoyable and worthwhile experience, coaching with Fission Volleyball Club is not a casual commitment. Our Fission families are dedicating their time and money to develop as players and form lifelong memories, so our coaches must match or exceed that level of investment.

In 2024, we will be offering 3 tiers of teams that involve an ascending level of commitment from the coaches, players, and families:

LOCAL
- Pre-season:
  - Coaches Clinic: November 10th @ 3pm
  - Tryouts: July 13th and 17th
  - Media Day: TBD
- Season:
  - January – March
- Practices:
  - 1-2 per week (1 is group lead on Sundays)
- Tournaments:
  - 4-5 per season
REGIONAL
- Pre-season:
  - Coaches Clinic: November 10th @ 3pm
  - Tryouts: July 13th and 17th
  - Media Day: TBD
- Season:
  - December – May (June with optional AAU Nationals)
- Practices:
  - 2-3 per week
- Tournaments:
  - 7-8 per season
ELITE
- Pre-season:
  - Coaches Clinic: November 10th @ 3pm
  - Tryouts: July 13th and 17th
  - Media Day: TBD
- Season:
  - November – July (AAU in June if you do not qualify for USAV)
- Practices:
  - 3-4 per week
- Tournaments:
  - 9-10 per season

If you are dedicated to the growth of our girls and the game in our region, then Regional and Elite are a better fit. If you have limited time &/or a full time job but still want to be involved with volleyball, then we have plenty of opportunities for you at the Local level. So when submitting the form below, please indicate which level(s) you are willing to commit to.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We PREFER that all coaches have:

Club/college playing experience
Club/college coaching experience

We REQUIRE that all coaches:

Be a United States citizen
Have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Become certified and clear a background check with Safesport and Valdosta State University

JOB COMPENSATION

All Fission Volleyball Club coaches are independent contractors. Coaches are paid per month in arrears for the duration of their season. Compensation level varies according to team tier (Local, Regional, or Elite), number of practices hosted, and number of tournaments attended. Please inquire for more information about compensation for this position.

LOCAL: $1,500.00 – $2,000.00 per season
REGIONAL: $3,500.00 – $4,000.00 per season
ELITE: $5,000.00 – $5,500.00 per season
